Simply fill out the contact form above or call us to check availability at (340) 474-9332. Please leave your phone number if you reach our voice mail. Once your booking is confirmed we will require a valid credit card to reserve your day. We will not charge your card unless you do not show up for your tour. If you do not show up because of your ship schedule you will not be charged for the day. See cancelation policy below.
In recent years scientists have discovered a link between sunscreen chemicals and coral death throughout the oceans and especially in busy tourists destinations like St. Thomas. The US Virgin Islands (like HI) has passed regulations stopping the use of these damaging sunscreens. There are still plenty of great options:
Sunscreens must NOT contain the following: oxybenzone, avobenzone, octisalate, octocrylene, homosalate and octinoxate.
Only NON-NANO zinc Oxide and Titanium Dioxide are safe for the reefs and your body. Remember it only takes a quarter size amount of these sunscreens for you whole body, so they will last a long time! They also stay put much better than the dangerous chemical sunscreens.
We LOVE Stream2Sea products! They even have a tinted line that won't leave you white.
Bring a rash guard. You will see this is what our guides use, some of our guides even wear leggings and you can also wear a large brimmed hat.
We will be more than happy to answer any questions you might have, as we have tried over 30 reef safe products on ourselves and can give you recommendations but below are some of our favs.
You may cancel your adventure and receive a full refund 72 hours before the actual date of your tour. Because we block out the entire day just for you,if you cancel with less than 72 hours notice or fail to show up for your tour, the full cost will be charged to the credit card used to reserve your tour. The exception is of course, if your ship does not port or is late in which your tour is 100% refundable. If you have extenuating circumstances please contact us regarding a refund.
No worries! Please let us know before your tour of any special assistance required. We will always give snorkel lessons to any new snorkeler and if you can’t swim we will bring life vests to aid in swimming. Our highly trained guides are all certified first responders, rescue divers or instructors and we take safety very seriously at St. Thomas Scuba and Snorkel.
Yes! We can accept all major credit cards on the day of your tour. You will notice that there is a $10 discount for cash pay but if you use a CC this $10 charge is to cover the fees associated with taking cards remotely. *Again if paying in cash at the time of your tour, there are no taxes or fees and no hidden charges.
Our "Multi Beach Adventure","Rent A Local" "Jeep Tours" and "local Rum/Beer Beach Tour" are the only tours that transportation is provided for the day. You can arrange to be picked up to and from your tour by calling "Mr. Nice Guy" (enclosed taxi) directly at (340) 690-7628. Please contact us for further assistance if needed.
Bring Bathing suit, towels and sandals.
Bring Gratuity for your guides and cash for lunch.
Bring Clothes that can get wet - comfortable shoes, cover up etc.
Bring REEF SAFE sunscreen (NON-NANO Titanium Dioxide or Zinc Oxie only)
Instead of sunscreen - consider a rash guard! A great sunscreen option!
Bring Underwater camera / land camera fully charged.
Do NOT bring expensive jewelry or watches.
Do NOT bring your passports unless you are taking a BVI boat trip
Remember to pack light
YES! We refund the full price of your adventure if the ship doesn't make port in time for your tour or doesn't make port at all. We will also refund your money if WE need to cancel your tour due to equipment or weather problems. If your ship is porting late, please try to call us and let us know. We resever the tour giude and the day is just for you, usually we can just move your tour time back for you instead of canceling, this way you won't miss out on your day.
Because we do private tours, its best to reserve your dates as far in advance as possible. From November to June, St. Thomas is bustling with up to six cruise ships per day and our private tours can fill up fast so its best to reserve as soon as you can. If you cant book in advance please call us directly to check for availability, we will do everything we can to facilitate scheduling your adventure.
For Cruise passengers porting in "Havensight" (main port) we will meet you at VI Coffee Roasters located directly outside of the cruise port. HERE IS A MAP.
For those ships porting in "Crown Bay" we will meet you at the Large Stone Windmill directly in front of where your ship ports.
For Hotel and Resort guests we will meet you at the front lobby of your hotel or resort.
